Tombstone Exploration's Summer Drill Program Makes Mass Discovery of Manganese
December 02, 2008

Tombstone Exploration Corporation (OTCBB: TMBXF) announced today a surprise mass discovery of an estimated 205 million pounds of manganese from the preliminary results of the Summer Drill Program.

Manganese is currently priced between $1.00 to $1.50/lb and is the fourth largest metal consumed in the world behind iron, aluminum, and copper. Manganese (Mn) is a key component in steel and iron production and also plays an important role in stainless steel and aluminum alloys. It is the glue that binds, hardens and prevents iron and steel products from being too brittle.

Manganese compounds are added to gasoline to boost octane and reduce engine knocking. It is used in benzylic alcohols, rust and corrosion prevention, paint, batteries, animal feed, glass production, fertilizers and medical applications.

Alan Brown, President and CEO of Tombstone, remarked, "This is quite a discovery from 5% of the acreage explored in our recent Drill Program. We are extremely excited about releasing the inventory of precious (Silver/Gold) and base metal (Copper, Lead and Zinc) results from our 2007 and 2008 drill programs upon our final calculations being completed. Management is currently identifying targets for the 2009 Drill Program which we expect to start in February 2009."

Tombstone Exploration Corporation (TMBXF) is structured and positioned to capitalize on today's increasing demand and prices for precious metals and base metals such as copper, lead and zinc. Tombstone Exploration Corporation has the mineral rights to approximately 11,500 acres of historical mining land in the areas around Tombstone, Arizona and is now the largest land holder in the Tombstone mining district, which is one of the recent largest mining property acquisitions in Arizona. Through expansion, the Company will acquire new properties, as well as integrate the extraction of precious and base metals. The goal is to produce metals and minerals below standard industry costs.
